Guide for New Users

If you are a new user, we’ll walk you through step by step in using the powerful recruiting tools at your fingertips.

It’s important to note that each user is assigned a permission level that defines what the user can do in the system. We’ll note which user permission levels can perform each action. To check your permission level, go to Your Account > Account Details. Your permission level will be listed at the top of the page.

Create a New Job

(Permission levels: for Admin/Account Owners)

What to do:

  • From your Posting List, click on the + New Job Post button.
  • Fill in the required fields manually or you can upload a job description in a word or pdf format.
    • If you upload the job description, the data is parsed and populated in the fields. 
  • Clever AI summarizers the job details and creates a Smart posting
  • Click on the Continue >> button to review the job posting.
  • Click on the Submit>> button to save your job posting
  • A posting is created in the Posting List page, enter the email address of the Manager you want to assign as an owner for the posting in the Owner and Assigned users column.

Updating a Job Posting 

(Permission levels: for Admin/Account Owners, Manager)

What can you do: 

Resume Bulk Upload 

  • Select the posting you want to upload the resumes, then Click on the Upload icon. 
  • Drag & drop the resume files and Click on the Upload>> button 
  • Once the files are uploaded, Click on the OK>> button. 
  • You can see the number of resumes uploaded in the posting list page under Applicant Details Column.

Changing the Status

  • If you want to close a posting, select the job posting and Click on the Close icon
  • If you want to archive a posting, select the job posting and Click on the Archive icon 
  • If you want to view the archived postings, select the Status and check the Archive option
  •  

Creating a Clever Candidate Assessment Test (CCAT)

(Permission levels: for Admin/Account Owners, Manager)

What to do:

  • From your Posting List, click on the Posting Id.
  • From your Clever Hiring Dashboard, select CCAT option and Click  on the Create CCAT >> button
  • Custom Assessment Test 
    • You can generate a custom assessment test by selecting the sections and Click  on the Continue >> button. For more detailed instructions on creating an assessment test, click here
  • Cleversow Suggested Assessment Test 
    • Check the box and Click  on the Continue >> button

Review Applicants

What to do:

(Permission levels: for all levels)

  • From your Posting List, click on the Applicant Details for the job you want to review. You’ll see on your Posting List the number of applicants you have for each Job Listing.
  • You’ll land on the Clever Hiring Dashboard for the job you just click in with tabs for the custom candidate status.
  • You can click on the tab you want to view the applicants. 
  • You’ll see all applicants in a ranked order -> highly eligible to least eligible by Clever Resume Ranker. 
  • To view an applicant profile, click on the Applicant name that will open up the applicant’s profile snapshot. 
  • To view an applicant assessment results, click on the CCAT Score that will open up the applicant’s CCAT results.
  • You can compare upto 3 applicants by selecting the applicant and the Click on Compare icon. When you’re done comparing the applicants, you can click on the X at the top right to close the comparison viewer.
  • You can like or dislike an applicant by providing a short description of your opinion, when you click on the icons. 

What to do:

(Permission levels: for Admin/Account Owners, Manager)

  • You can invite a team member to review the applicants, Click  on the Action>> button and click on Invite Team members
    • Enter the team member’s email address and  Click  on the Invite User >> button.  They will receive an email from Cleversow to sign up. 
    • If you want to remove any existing members, click on the X next to the member name.
  • You can change the status of the candidate by clicking on the Status Icon and select the option from the drop down menu. Then enter a short description and Click  on the Submit  >> button
  • You can also send an email message to an applicant and/or scheduling an interview, when you Click on Email Icon. For more detailed instructions on selecting and sending an email, click here
